A World War II Veteran, Hollis was a well known farmer and carpenter. He was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and a life member of Belmont American Legion Post 312 in Belmont, Ohio.
Hollis was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Thelma (Perkins) Kemp; and a brother, Warren B. Kemp.
He is survived by daughters, Mrs. Lois (Tim) Buckley of Flushing, Ohio and Mrs. Lova (Jerry) Ebbert of St. Clairsville, Ohio; son, Lowell Kemp of Bethesda, Ohio; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call, Monday 6 to 9 p.m., Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio where services will be conducted, Tuesday at 11 a.m. Reverend Tom Detling and Tim Kemp officiating. Interment will following at Ebenezer Cemetery.
