We moved to SE Washington State when Tiny was fifteen. She worked for one of the local newspapers, The Columbia Basin News, while she was in high school.
Tiny had the most beautiful hands, and hand writing, but she believed digging in the earth was good for both body and Soul. She loved working in her yard, and even after her heart attack, which left her with only 11% of her heart, she spent a lot of time moving her dirt "like some women move furniture", she used to laugh.
