05 APR 2021, SAC to add YOM.~Jack C. Abbott, 82, died Monday, May 3, at his Shawnee home.

He was born March 31, 1922, in Luther. On Dec. 3, 1971, he married Shirley A. Tallman. He served in World War II and received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Good Conduct Medal.

He retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1984. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley A. Abbott of Shawnee; brother, Kendall Abbott of Luther; sister-in-law, Harriett Abbott of North Carolina; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and Elaine Kjeldgaard of Encino, Calif., and many other relatives.
