"Joseph Divis
UNION PIER, Feb. 4 Joseph Divis, 62, died of a coronary occlusion at 11:15 a. m. Friday while at work on the new Christ Lutheran church in St. Joseph. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Memorial hospital by Coroner Harding Dey.

Mr. Divis was born April 1, 1893 In Cehicago. He and his wife, Olive, whom he married in 1920, came to Union Pier to live 27 years ago.

Surviving besides his wife is a sister, Mrs. Charles Glossinger, of Union Pier.

Mr. Divis had been in the construction business for 37 years. He was a member of the Three Oaks Masonic lodge and the New Buffalo American Legion.

Funeral services will be held at 2 Sunday at the H. B. Connelly funeral home in Three Oaks, with the Rev. Reginal Dryden, Congregational minister, officiating. Masonic rites will be held.

The body will be taken to the Marek Brothers funeral in Berwyn, Ill., where additional services will be will be held Tuesday. Burial will be in the National Bohemian cemetery, Berwyn." From The Herald-Palladium, Feb 4, 1956, page 11
