Ezra Hayden McDonald, 87 died July 23,2011, at the Tippah County Nursing Home in Ripley.He and his wife Maryette worked in the fields of Mississippi, picking cotton, before moving to Yakama, Washington, where they picked fruit.They moved back to Benton County, Mississippi about 1975, where they grew a garden and sold produce in Ashland. They moved to town just a couple years before they passed away.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over fifty years, Mary Etta Brown McDonald, on June 3,2008. Also preceding him in death was one step-daughter Twila Comer.
He is survived by one son, many grandchildren and great-grand children.
Services was Monday, July 25, at Holly Springs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
