Lonnie C. Harcum Jr. RICHMOND - Lonnie C. Harcum Jr., 79, died Jan. 4, 2009. He was the widower of Elizabeth M. Harcum and is survived by three sons, Thomas C. Harcum and his wife Beverly, Les C. Harcum and his wife Kennah and Michael S. Harcum and his wife Kathy; four grandchildren, Thomas and his wife Ola, Sarah, Chris and Steve; also numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Harcum attended Newport News High School and Virginia Tech. He worked for more than 40 years at Lone Star Industries and retired as a vice president. He was a member of Saint Bridget's Catholic Church. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Saint Bridget's Catholic Church. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Bridget's Catholic Church, 6006 Three Chopt Road, Richmond, VA 23226 or Hospice of Virginia.
