After a bountiful repast which was served on the cafeteria plan, the whole company posed for a picture which was taken by a photographer from Groton. A rope was procured and a tug-of-war indulged in between Groton and Venice, as both places were about equally represented. The victory was won by the Venice people who swung around and pulled down the hill.
A business meeting was called and they elected officers for the following year as follows: Merton Stevens, Groton, Pres.; Bert Stevens, Venice, vice pres.; Clara Stevens, Groton. Sec.: N. L. Stevens. Venice, Treas.
There were present besides those from Groton and McLean, Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Stevens and family, Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Stevens and family, Mr. and Mrs. L. Claude Stevens and son, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kimball and children of Venice, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kenyon and family of Venice Center, Mrs. Wm. Mosher of Poplar Ridge, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lewis and family and Miss Nellie Charnley of Genoa.
