Rudolph Hostetter Burquist died Nov. 5, 2007, in Garland. He was born in Duluth, Minn., March 22, 1914, and he was a long time resident of Wellington, Mobile, Ala., and Chattanooga, Tenn. During the last 10 years, he has lived in Garland in the home of his daughter and son in law, Adelle and Mark Read.
Rudy was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and greatgrandfather. He was a man of many talents - master carpenter, tinsmith and stain glass artist.
He is survived by his daughters, Adelle Burquist Read of Garland, June Hightower of Chattanooga, Tenn., Carolyn Lockstead of Denver, N.C. and his brother, John Burquist of Mobile, Ala., as well as many caring in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
He is gone to be with his Lord and Saviour and is now at peace.
