Rev. Celia Wertenbarger, age 79, died in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Clyde Husselman of near Auburn at 8 p.m. Tuesday of diabetes. Mrs. Wertenbarger had been ill for the past five years.
Mrs. Wertenbarger was born on Dec. 14, 1872, in Defiance county, Ohio, the daughter of the late John H. and Sarah Kellermeier Beiderwell. For the past 15 years she had been residing with Mrs. Husselman and with another daughter, Mrs. Karl Scattergood of near Auburn.
She was married to Rev. Ulysses Wertenbarger in November of 1900. She assisted her husband as a part time minister in evangelistic work.
Other survivors include three stepchildren, Ira Wertenbarger of Jerome, Mich., Mrs. Gold Porter of Blissfield. Mich., and Chester Wertenbarger of Clarke Lake, Mich.; a brother, Clarence Beiderwell of Fresno, Calif.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wertenbarger was a member of the Corunna United Brethren church.
The body was removed to the Dilgard & Cline funeral home in Auburn where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m Friday. The Rev. A E. Stucker of Blissfield, Mich., will officiate at the services and burial will be in the LaSalle cemetery rear Monroe. Mich.

Stucker of Blissfield. Mich., officiated and burial was in the LaSale cemetery, near Monroe, Mich. Rev. Wertenbarger died at the home of Mrs. Husselman Tuesday night of diabetes.
