A Lady of Surprise
(Lynne Shada)

"It is not my time to go - For I have plenty to do and show,
But God say the moment is best - As He lays me rest."
A gal who grew up with 5 sisters and 1 brother - Walking the steps in life to become a mother.
Raising a son and daughter - Continuing to become a proud grandmother.
Enjoyment over the years of playing darts and horseshoes - To bowling by standing tall on her toes.
To the adventure of putting puzzles together - And going to a rummage sale with a sister was fun forever.
A woman who always a shoulder to lean on - By saying encouraging comments to anyone.
Showing up at siblings families special day - Helping love glow among family in every way.
A lady who was a great friend - Fulfilling her duties during the work trend,
Unto helping with any breakfast and benefit - Understanding how friendship is the best hit.
The enjoyment of the yearly family gathering - Plus the time she took to be sharing,
Among the children and grandchildren with pleasure - As they shall walk their life now remembering her as a special treasure.
Thank God this special lady did not suffer long, - But goes to peace – where she does belong.
Knowing that everyday shines with her smile - As family feels her presence as they walk each mile.

"MOM, DUCK!!!!!!"

From a bright beaming youngster to a beautiful woman.
You are my sister, and have been my best friend.
Sometimes a finicky child who defiantly knew what she liked. You truly enjoyed your time with sisters and a brother, singing songs while doing dishes or traveling together in a car, like "Inky Dinky Doo" or "Greasy Grimy Gopher Guts". The advantage of having a large family so you could play cards like "Hand and Foot", or board games like "The Marble Game", "Mouse Trap", "Monopoly" , "Scrabble" or "Yahtzee".
Playing outside games around the house like "Red Rover, Red Rover, Send Lynne Right Over" or "Annie-I-Over", playing softball or badminton . We all took pleasure in tramping through Grandma's woods to arrive at the "BA Beach" our swimming place or just spending time in the woods that we loved. A typical child but with fragile bones, you might have stumbled but always came back stronger.
Mom could cook the most delicious of meals. But we all know Lynne hated those untouchable Green Beans, but dearly loved those fresh peas. Strawberry shortcake or a treasured chocolate treat stopping for pie at Perkins always made her smile. Dad took Lynne on a few hunting escapades, and also taught us all how to fish.
You had two very special children, each unique in their own way. They kept you busy and you enjoyed every day.
All those precious moments with those four wonderful grandchildren that is something no one can take back. Going to every field trip, every conference, you were there. They were your pride and joy, your very meaning of being.
I know you loved traveling and going on all those special trips, whether it is to a Casino for thrill of a jackpot or assisting your sisters with genealogy research and walking all those cemeteries. You traveled through all of United States except for Alaska and Hawaii.
Fun times playing pool, horseshoes, darts, and bowling. New friends and old friends, there were good times for all. You were always busy playing Bingo at the VFW or Helping with Friday night fish fry, or Sunday morning breakfast with the Camera Club at the Eagles.
You embraced the new world of technology when it came into our lives. Being so bold to learn all the new things. We learned together spreadsheets, word documents, digital pictures and such. Wow, how times changed. Then came Facebook. Our long chat sessions lingered on till morning light. New ways to play games long distance. We reconnected with family relatives enjoying our new computer experience.
All you need do is pick up the phone and Lynne would be there. No matter what it was, you always lent a hand.
There came the scares of illness in your life. You conquered each one until the end.
You were our strength when we felt week
You were our guidance when we felt lost
You were our courage when we are afraid
You were by best friend
You are my sister that will always be
You are my rock !

Love you always,
Lorry and Susan
