He served with the Amry National Guard. He was a Mason. His funeral was held on June 1, 2012. He was survived by three sons, Curtis Lee Tripp (Joy), Johnny Kurt Tripp (friend, Kathy Small) and William Kirk Tripp (Jennifer); brother, John Charles Tripp; seven grandchildren, special family friend, Lorraine Sasser; and an extended family of relatives and friends.
