Sheboygan Press, Wed. July 13, 1977, p. 10, c. 5. Edward H. Foy, 47, of 525 N. Milwaukee St., Plymouth, died Tuesday at Columbia Hospital, Milwaukee, where he had been a patient for 2 weeks. He was born Apr. 17, 1930, at Fond du Lac, a son of Edward P. and Florence Polzean Foy. He attended grade schools in Fond du Lac County and Plymouth High School. Mr. Foy was employed by the L.E. Meyers Co., Milwaukee. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Plymouth, and the Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car Association for 14 years. Mr. Foy drove cars until 1964, flagged at the races for 2 years, was an announcer for 7 years and served on the board of directors for 10 years. He served as its president for 5 years. He retired from the organization 2 years ago due to illness and was made an honorary life member. Mr. Foy married the former Joann Eden at Waco TX. The couple lived in Fond du Lac and Sheboygan and since 1960 in Plymouth. Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Kathy) Odekirk, Plymouth; a granddaughter; a brother, Desmond, Plymouth, and five sisters, Mrs. Larry O'Reilly, Cascade, Mrs. Roland Schoenbeck, Oconomowoc, Mrs. George Butler, LaHarpe IL, Mrs. William Ott, Hollywood FL and Mrs. Harvey Lemke, Fond du Lac. A brother preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth, the Rev. Dennis Pegorsch, associate pastor, St. John Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wittkopp funeral home from 3 p.m. Friday until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Foy's name.
