From Montana Standard (Butte, MT):

ANACONDA โ€” Chad A. Marker of Anaconda died unexpectedly at his family home from an accident Thursday morning.

Chad was born May 2, 1988, in Bozeman. He lived most of his life in Philipsburg, where he attended grade school. He moved to Anaconda in 2000 where he was an honor roll student having just completed his sophomore year.

He loved hunting and fishing with his dad beginning when he was only 8 years old. Chad climbed some real steep hills and he would get far behind and start crying, so his dad would wait and encourage him up the hill, which would cheer him up. His dad would tell him how to hunt grouse and the secrets of sneaking up on elk.

Chad was a great kid. He would listen to his father and his elders with respect. He learned a lot from his teachers and had good communication with his school mates.

If someone in the family was feeling down he would try to cheer them up. His sister Melaney remembers his as being the best brother anyone could ask for because he always stood up for what was right. He was as close to being perfect than anybody else she had ever known.

He was preceded in death by his uncle Robin Marker, grandparents John and Betty Marker, great-grandparents Bert and Jennie Kamps, Royal and Helen Barney.
