Josephine Britton Harrison passed away on Saturday, September 11, 1999, in Santa Fe. She was born on January 31, 1912, in Las Vegas, NM to Josefita Schuster Britton and Dalio Britton, but lived most of her life in Santa Fe. Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Benjamin Britton; and sisters, Grace Delgado, Mollie Barney, Isabel Smith and Tillie Smith. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Vern Harrison of the home; daughter, Jo Ann Swinson and husband, Derek of Albuquerque; step-grandsons, Kevin Swinson of Albuquerque and Brian Swinson of Taos, NM; and numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, September 15, 4:00 p.m., at Berardinelli Family Funeral Chapel, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 16, 10:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
