Emmett Ralph "E.R." Williams, 58 passed away Wednesday , September 14, 1994, at his home in spring, TX after a lengthy battle with cancer. Emmett served in the United States Marines Corps during the Korean War. He was a twenty year veteran and sergeant of the Houston Police Department. After his retirement from Policework, he became a successful businessman. Highly respected in the field of accident reconstruction, E.R. was a charter member of the Texas Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists. Among his survivors are his wife, Billie; daughter, Dawn Leathers and husband Terry; daughter Jacquelyn Friedrich; grandchildren Amber Leathers, Taylor Leathers, and Sean Friedrich; mother-in-law, Thelma Riley; brothers, Jack Williams and Jimmy Williams; sisters Jerry Colwell, Ruth Ellis, and Annie Blackwell; and numerous nieces and nephews along with many other relatives and dear friends. The family would like to acknowledge his longtime and special friend, Joe Chebret. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Earthman Resthaven Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 17, 1994 at Earthman Resthaven Chapel, Rev. LeRoy R. Pearson, officiant. Pallbearers will be Robert Smith, Dr. Charles Howard, James Montero, Ric Sadler, Joe Montgomery and Stephen Tipps. Honorary pallbearers are TAARS members.
