Lena Aaron, 86, died Friday, May 4, 2012, in Fort Washakie.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, at the Rocky Mountain Hall at Fort Washakie. Burial will follow at the Sacajawea Cemetery at Fort Washakie.

A visitation is at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, at the Rocky Mountain Hall and will continue throughout the night. A wake will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Lena Wagon was born Dec. 30, 1925, in Fort Washakie to Roger Wagon Sr. and Matilda Pingree.

She was a lifelong resident of Fort Washakie, participating in many pow-wows and sundances. Her family said she especially loved playing with her 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Aaron is survived by son, Augustine Teton of Fort Washakie; brother David Wagon of Riverton; sister Rose Murphy of Pocatello, Idaho; grandsons Tyson Kimber of Fort Washakie, Joseph Piper of Lander, Edward Piper of Riverton; granddaughters Kaylena Piper of Lander, Jessica Teton of Fort Washakie; other relatives Rosaline Niedo and family, Chester Pingree and family, William Wagon and family, Arlen Shoyo and family, Kathy Shoyo and family, Bernie Shoyo and family, Lavonne Roanhorse and family, Harrison "Bunny" Shoyo Jr. and family, Kay Pingree and family, Becky Washakie and family, Alicia Cook and family, Zane Niedo and family, Archie Niedo and family, Whiteman Niedo and family, Darwin Niedo and family, Warren Niedo and family, Sharon Wagon and family, Linette Braman and family, James Braman and family, Ronald Braman and family, Terence Braman and family, Carmen Braman and family.

She was preceded in death by both parents; brothers Roger Wagon Jr., James Wagon and Wilford Wagon; sister Alvina Teton; daughter Shyrle Piper; granddaughter Francesca Teton; niece Matilda Braman.
