ROSE HANSON Rose Marie Hanson, 81, died Feb. 12, 2007. She was born May 18, 1925, in St. Thomas, Nev., to Leonard and Marie Pearson. Coming to Las Vegas at age three, she lived her entire life here except for six years in Lebanon, Ore. Rose worked for 33 years at Centel as a telephone operator, never missing a day. She retired in 1987. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Leavitt; her children, David, Karen and Kenny Leavitt; her husband, James Hanson; grandchildren, Kenny and Jimmy Hanson; and brothers, Ray, Jack and Jerry Pearson. She is survived by sons, Leonard (Jody) and George (Eileen) Leavitt; stepsons, Eugene (Mary), Al (Phyllis), and James Jr. (Jill) Hanson; her daughter-in-law, Barbara (Kenny, deceased) Leavitt; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and sisters, Helen McLain, Joy (Kenny) Ray, and Ruby Reid. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15. Visitation also from noon-1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, with services to follow, all at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Interment immediately following at Eden Vale Memorial Park, 1216 N. Las Vegas Blvd.
