GAR Veteran Dies at Home
Funeral services will be held for the Church of God at 1:30 o'clock this Friday afternoon for Henderson B Garner, 80, who died at his home here this Wednesday morning after a long illness. Rev U G Clark will officiate and burial will follow in Wynooche cemetery.
Mr Garner was a Grand Army veteran, having served three years and two months in the Union army during the Civil War. He had lived in Montesano for 38 years. He was born in Kentucky, Jul 16, 1846.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Emma E Garner, and one daughter Mrs Gladys R Labreck, both of Montesano, and two sons, Roy E Garner of Tacoma and Clarence L Garner of Vashon Island.
