Funeral Services for John Turner "Jack" Murchison Sr. age 66 will be conducted on Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at 1:00 P.M. from the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Bro. Randy Kellough officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Murchison (a retired TVA employee, eighteen-year employee of Owens Corning, and ten-year employee of Pinnacle Foods) passed away Saturday morning, February 11, 2006, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was born in Mission, Texas, on August 17, 1939, to his parents, Turner and Edith Mainard Murchison.
The joy in his life was doing the things he loved most - yard work and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Murchison is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gail Page Murchison; two daughters, Lisa Gail Rowan and husband Ray of Jackson and Leigh Anne Hollowell also of Jackson; one son, John T. Murchison Jr. and wife Julie of Jackson; one sister and one brother, Rebecca Louise McWherter of Rives TN and William J. Murchison of New Mexico. Other survivors include four grandchildren, Jonathan Rowan of Jackson, Hannah Wood Potts and husband Chris of Parsons, Logan Wood of Parsons, and Turner Murchison of Jackson.
The Murchison family will receive friends at the North Chapel on Monday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
