Ruby Aretta Malcolm, 82, of Shrewsbury died Dec. 8, 1998, in St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, after a long illness.

Ruby was the daughter of the late George Thomas Sheldon and Beatrice Ann McComas Sheldon and the widow of Charles Malcolm.

She attended Shrewsbury Community Church; was a homemaker and had cared for several foster children.

Surviving: son, Donnie Malcolm Sr. of Buffalo; daughter, Cathy Keith, Patty Compton and Tina Sheldon, all of Shrewsbury; brothers, Cecil and Harold Sheldon, both of Shrewsbury; sisters, Elsie Allen of Shrewsbury, Nellie Camp of Quincy.

Services were held at O'Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery, with the Rev. Norvell Atkins officiating.
