Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in North Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Gene Weinette, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Collins, Johnson and Thornberry Funeral Directors of Wellington.
Exa was born Aug. 2, 1921, in the Shinnery community of Collingsworth County to Earl Hilliard and Mabel Ann Peters Yarbrough.
Exa Yarbrough graduated from Wellington (Texas) High School with the Class of 1938.
She attended Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Okla. Exa married Hiram Lyndal Cudd in Wellington. He preceded her in death in 1980.
In her younger years, Exa was active in music club in Wellington and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she served as choir director for many years. She was a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy and Daughters of the
American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sisters, Audrey Yarbrough Johnson and Audie Yarbrough Carter.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Earl Cudd and wife Judy Crawford Cudd of
Wellington; two grandsons, Dennis Earl Cudd II and wife Kristen of Austin and Douglas Cudd and wife Candace of League City; and two great-grandchildren, Audrey Elise Cudd of League City and Graham Bennett Cudd of Austin.
The family suggests
memorials be to Wellington Meals on Wheels, First United Methodist Church of
Wellington, or a charity of choice.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
