SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Alexander K. Shepard, 54 of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Jacksonville, North Carolina, died Jan. 30, 2012, at Life Care Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 14 at Saunders Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with the Rev. Dwight Sidberry officiating.
He served in the Coast Guard and in the Metropolitan Washington D.C Police Department as a detective.
Survivors include a sister, Ada Williams; and three brothers, Jimmy Lemons, Johnny Shepard Sr., and Ernest Lemons, all of Jacksonville.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Saunders Funeral Home, Inc.
