HAMPTON - Elva Pat Barbera, 85, died Monday, March 30, 1998. She was a native of Danville and had been a Peninsula resident since 1942.
Mrs. Barbera retired from Gloria Manufacturing Co. after 14 years of service. She was a member of Newmarket Baptist Church in Newport News.
Survivors include her spouse, Joseph O. Barbera of Hampton; and two sisters, Lois Jones of W. Monroe, La., and Pauline Thayer of Richmond.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted by Dr. S.E. Hathaway at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, at Peninsula Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Peninsula Memorial Park.
Pat touched the lives of many, and all for the better.
