WYOMING COUNTY TIMES March 1910: Francis Alburty, veteran of the Civil War, an old time citizen of Perry, died yesterday at his Main Street home. He was 72 years of age and had been confined to his bed since early December.

Mr. Francis M. Alburty, died last week Wednesday morning at his home on Main Street aged 72 years. His death was caused by Hodgkin's disease from which he had suffered since last December.
Mr. Alburty was born in Perry and had always lived in this town. He enlisted during the Civil War, being a member of the 24th New York Battery. While he was home on furlough account of illness, the members of his company were taken prisoners. In 1863 he was promoted to the rank of Corporal. In May 1865 he was transferred to the 3rd New York Artillery. He was in the skirmish at White Oak River, also at Kingston and Goldsboro. He was mustered out in Syracuse on July 7, 1865.
In 1877 he was united in marriage to Miss Martha H. Martin of Mt. Morris. Mr. Alburty was a painter by trade and being of a jovial, cheerful disposition, had many friends who will regret his death.
He is survived by his wife, two brothers, Jehiel of Perry and Horace of Castile. Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon at the family residence on Main Street, Revs. C. H. Dibble and W. V. TeWinkel officiating. The GAR Post and Women's Relief Corps attended in a body. Interment was at Hope Cemetery.
Those from out of town who attended were Mrs. Davis and Frank Martin of Pittsburg, Pa.; Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Flynn of Geneseo and Mrs. G. W. Teed of Webster City, Ia.

**The newspaper obit and Historical Wyoming listing both spelled with only one "l"; but other family members used 2 "l's" and is more likely that this entry should also be Allburty.
