Mrs. Carolyn M. Bade, 69, of 237 South Street, Plymouth, passed away early Monday morning, Sept. 19, 1994, at her home, following a courageous struggle with cancer.
She was born December 15, 1924 in Fall River, Wis., a daughter of the late Paul and Carrie O'Brion Freck. She graduated from Fall River High School and received her BA degree in teaching from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She taught school in Fond du Lac from 1946-1949.
On June 25, 1949, she was married to Ralph Bade in Columbus, Wis. The couple lived in Plymouth following their marriage.
Mrs. Bade taught elementary school in Plymouth, working at the Parkview School from 1970 until retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Sheboygan County and Wisconsin Teachers Association.
She is a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Carrie is a member of the Plymouth Women's Club, the Valley Medical Center Auxiliary and the "Friends of the Library" organization. She had also been an active member of several area bridge clubs. Carrie's kindness and love will be missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph; one son, Scott (Dr. Andrea Flom) Bade, Edina, Minn.
One daughter, Mrs. Gena (Tim) Lueck, Waldo; two grandchildren, Ryan and Jordan Bade; one sister, Mrs. Jeanne Skavlem, Plymouth; one brother, Byron (Ruth) Freck, Columbus, Wis. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Ann.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 8:30 p.m., at the Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth, the Rev. Dennis Pegorsch, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth, officiating. Burial will be in Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wittkopp Funeral Home from 4 p.m. on Wednesday, until the time of services.
Memorial funds will be established in Carrie's name.
