William "Bill" Stockton

Funeral Services for William "Bill" Stockton, 82, former Clinton residet and presently of Union City, OK was held this morning at 10:00a.m., April 23, 2012 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Eric Stock and burial concluded in Mt. Hope Cemetery near Custer City, OK under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Wiliam W. "Bill" Stockton was born January 19, 1930 to Levi Stockton, II and Ilo (Hann) Stockton in Arapaho, Oklahoma and passed away Friday, April 20,2012 in the Windsor Hills Nursing Home in Oklahoma City following a lengthy illness.

Bill was raised in the Clinton and Stafford area and he graduated from Stafford High School in 1950. He joined the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War from 1952 till 1954. After his Honorable discharge he returned to Custer County where he worked in construction and remodeling. He was married to Lillian Dill on June 1, 1979 in Muskogee, OK and they made their home in Clinton and later Union City.

He was a member of the Baptist Church; he enjoyed working in the yard, dominoes and being with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Leo, two brothers, Robert "Bob" Stockton and his wife, Nana, and Levi Stockton, and a nephew, Levi Stockton, IV.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian, of the home, two daughters, Teresay Stewart and husband, Johnny, Hastinges, and Evelyn Hix and husband, Dan, Mustang, two brothers, Ken Stockton and wife, Wanda, Clinton and Eldon Stockton and wife, Darlene, Duncan, OK; sister-in-law, Jan Stockton, OKC and two sisters, Darlene Smith and husband, J.C., of Clinton and Belle Kelly, Weatherford.

He is also survived by four grandsons, four granddaughters, 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of precious friends.

Visitation was at 1:00p.m till 8:00 p.m Sunday, April 22, 2012 in the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
