Staci was a classmate from high school. She died in a car accident. She is buried in the same graveyard as Michael Barnes (find his obituary in my listings), directly across from his grave. It is a beautiful black marble grave with white engravings on it. On the back of the headstone is a poem that she wrote, which is engraved in her own handwriting.

This is the back of Staci's headstone. It is a poem that she wrote, etched in her own handwriting. It reads:

"As I look at the hoop,
I see my dream.
As I hold the ball,
I feel my power.
As I shoot the ball,
I experience a rush.
As the net swooshes,
I sense relief."
