He was a correctional officer for the Rockville Correctional Facility. He had retired from Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company in both Montezuma, Indiana and Tuscola, Illinois with 32 years of service.
He was born October 9, 1943 in Champaign, Illinois to Glenn Delbert Durnil and to Margie Baker Durnil.
Survivors include his mother, Margie Lowe of Herscher, IL; one son, Darrin Durnil of Seymour, Indiana; one brother, Chuck Durnil of Tuscola, IL; one sister, Marty Nutt of Branson, MO;
He was a 1961 graduate of Newman (IL) High School.
