Funeral services were held at 10 a.m.
Friday, Aug.3, in the Palacios Funeral
Home Chapel for Mrs. Dora Isabell Hatley
with the Rev. Leon Maxwell conducting
the service. Burial was in the Palacios
cemetery.
Born Mar.6, 1889 in Bandera County,
Texas, she was the daughter of the late
William and Sarah Vestal Tubbs. A
resident of Francitas since 1967, she was
a member of the Baptist Church. She died
Wed., Aug. 1, in Wagner General Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mrs.
LaVerne Byars of Francitas, two nieces,
one nephew, five grandchildren, and 13
great grandchildren.
** The obit list that she is the daughter of William Tubbs and Sarah Vestal, but William was the name of her first husband, and her grandfather.
