My Grandmother was born the second child in a family with eight children, she was the first girl. She always said she was born in Berea Ohio. The family moved to Mckeesport PA around 1900. Her father's sister owned an iron manufactuing company there. Later they again moved in 1906, following the company which had moved to Washington D.C. She met and then married her husband Charles I Beavens in 1911. She had one child, my Dad, Charles E. Beavens in 1920. She lost her husband in 1956 from cancer. She lived in D.C. from 1906 until 1968, then she moved to Bowie Maryland to live with her son, my Dad, in 1968. she was 84 years young when she died in the summer of 1974
