Willis Abare died of a blood clot in his brain. His cemetery burial record incorrectly spells his last name as ABORE.

Willis married Eva Alice Rousseau on 30 Dec 1935 in Newport, New Hampshire. They divorced on 3 Feb 1948 in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire; and she apparently resumed using her maiden name.
