FUNERAL OF FRANK G. SCOTT.

Rev. Stanley C. Hughes, rector of Trinity Church, conducted the funeral service for Frank G. Scott at his late residence on Gibbs avenue, this afternoon where many friends and representatives of the Fraternal organizations of which the deceased was a member gathered. The interment was in the Island cemetery, the bearers being George E. and William B. Scott, brothers of the deceased; Owen B. Scott, George S. Horrocks, Benjamin Lawton and John T. Ottilege. Mr. Lawton representing the Red Men and Mr. Ottilege the Odd Fellows.

Frank G. Scott, Ill a Year and a Half.

Mr. Frank G. Scott, secretary and treasurer of the William H. Scott & Co., Inc., died at his home on Gibbs avenue Monday, after an illness of a year and a half.

Mr. Scott was born in Newport, December 12, 1857, a son of George C. and Mary Wilbur (Lawton) Scott. When a young man he learned the carriage manufacturing business of the late Achilles Stevens and continued in that business until 25 years ago when he became secretary and treasurer of the William B. Scott & Co., Inc., in which capacity he continued until his death. He was one of the oldest members of the Weenat Shassitt Tribe of Red Men, serving that organization as sachem and later becoming great sachem of Rhode Island. He was also a member of St. John's Lodge of Masons, of Rhode Island, Lodge of Odd Fellows and Malbone Lodge, New England Order of Protection, having served in the last-named organization in various positions. Mr. Scott married Miss Laura Palmer, daughter of the late James R. Palmer, who with a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Scott Harrison, survive.
