Sylvia Marie Blasko, of Marthasville, Mo., passed away at her home on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the age of 92 years.
Sylvia was born to Daniel and Lisette (nee-Brinkmeyer) Wendt on June 23, 1918 in St. Louis, Mo.
She was united in marriage to John Joseph Blasko on October 22, 1938 in St. Louis, Mo. He was born 17 December 1911 and preceded her in death on December 19, 1975.
Mrs. Blasko was a homemaker. She was a loving and dedicated mother. She enjoyed quilting and crafts in her spare time.
Survivors include five sons; Michael Blasko (Sandra) of Marthasville, Mo., Steven Blasko (Cate) of Webster Groves, Mo., Ervin Blasko (Patricia) of Foristell, Mo., Kenny Blasko of Hannibal, Mo.,and Tommy Blasko of Fulton, Mo., four daughters; Joyce Smoak (Andy) of Charleston, SC, Gloria Blasko and Ruth Johnson (David), both of Marthasville, Mo., and Dorothy Ferguson (Davey) of Warrenton, Mo., one brother, Daniel Wendt of St. Louis, Mo., one sister, Laverne Albach of Mehlville, Mo., eighteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons; David Blasko and Neil Feeney, and two sisters; Fern Feeney and Melba Wendt.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M., at Lichtenberg-Martin Funeral Home, 16137 S. Hwy. 47, Marthasville, Mo. 63357. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Marthasville City Cemetery.
