William Franklin "Bill" Morrisette, Jr., 67, of Rock Spring, died on Wednesday, April 4, 2012.

He was born in LaMesa, Ca., but had lived the past 24 years in the North Georgia area. He attended the Gospel Tabernacle Church in Chickamauga and was a brick mason and proud owner of Morrisette Masonry for many years. He started brick masonry at the age of 13 and was a master at his trade. He won several block and bricklaying competitions throughout the years including two years as World's Top Craftsman at the Spec Mix Bricklayer 500 in Las Vegas, Ne.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cordelia "Johnnie" Morrisette and sister, Brenda Sue Eoff.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of more than 50 years, Shelva Morrisette; father, William Morrisette, Sr. both of Rock Spring; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherrie and (Robert) Flores of Fort Oglethorpe, Michelle and (Alfredo) Garcia of Ringgold, Shawntell Morrisette of Chattanooga, and Michaelann and (Bill) Holtzclaw of Rock Spring; three brothers, James Smith of Witchita Falls, Tx., Robert "Bobby" Morrisette of Huntington Beach, Ca., and Johnny Ray Morrisette of Orange, Ca.; sister, Dana Hindson of Palm Desert, Ca.; seven grandchildren, Lauren Flores, Ashley and Jordan Garcia, Jacob Morrisette, Joshua Cooper, Baileyann Morrisette and Brandon Holtzclaw and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, April 9, at the Gospel Tabernacle Church in Chickamauga with Pastor Joey Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.

The family will begin receiving friends after 1 p.m. on Saturday, all day Sunday, and prior to leaving for the service on Monday.

Arrangements are by W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe.
