John was born January 6, 1869, in Allentown, Pennslyvania, the son of John and Martha Jane (Allen) Mirts. His wife, Cecelia "Sadie" (Sutter) Mirts survives at their home. John was a retired farmer.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wallace Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial was in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
