Professional Hockey Player. A native of Garafraxa County, Ontario, Lindsay played the position of Goalie for teams in the NHL, FAHL, UOVHL, MCHL, TPHL, NHA, and the PCHA hockey leagues. Lindsay played for the McGill Redmen from 1903 to 1906, Renfrew Riversides from 1906 to 1907, Latchford Pros from 1906 to 1907, Brockville Invincibles from 1907 to 1908, Edmonton Pros from 1906 to 1907, Edmonton Professionals from 1908 to 1909, Renfrew Creamery Kings from 1908 to 1910, Renfrew Millionaires from 1910 to 1911, Victoria Aristocrats from 1911 to 1915, PCHA All-Stars from 1914 to 1915, Montreal Wanderers from 1915 to 1918, and the Toronto Arenas from 1918 to 1919. Lindsay retired from hockey in 1919, and later became a construction worker and also worked for a mining company. He was the father of Hockey Hall of Famer Ted Lindsay. He passed away in November 1960 in Sarnia, Ontario, at the age of 79.
