Einar M. Christenson Sr. 56, of 715 Forest St., Charlotte, died Tuesday, January 7th, 1959 in Hayes-Green-Beach Hospital after an illness of six months.

He was born, Sept 3, 1902 in Odegarden, Nes Hedmark, Norway. He was the son of Mathias and Anna (Martinsdatter) Christenson. Einar and had 3 sisters and 6 brothers, Agnes Jensen, Borghild Lee, Marie Knutson, Conrad, Elmer, Melvin, Oscar, Karl, and Alfred Christenson.

Einar came to the U.S. with his family when he was only a year old. He grew up on a farm in Sergent County, North Dakota. He married Lucille Whitinger on June 3rd, 1931. Two sons perceived him in death, Orland Lynn and Roger Lee Christenson.

Einar moved to Charlotte in 1935, he was employed by the Oldsmobile Factory in Lansing. He was very mechanical and loved to work on motors. In 1943 on June 11th, Alta M. Bennett and Einar were united in marriage in Bowling Green, OH.

Surviving are his wife, Alta and two sons, Einard Jr. of Holt and Galen at home, a daughter, Janice French of Lansing, six brothers, Carl, Alfred, Conrad and Elmer all of Rutland, ND; Melvin of Britton, S.D. and Oscar of Havana, N.D; three sisters, Marie Knutson of Britton, S.D., Borghild Lee of Cayuga, N.D. and Agnes Jensen of Fargo, N.D. His grandchildren are Robbyn and Terri Christenson and Carrie French of Lansing.
