Mrs O. A. Allen
Mrs. O. A. Allen, 110 East Chalmers Street, died at 2:20 p.m. Friday in Carle Memorial Hospital. She had been in ill health for several years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Heath-Memorial home with brother Henry Boren officiating. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Heath Memorial home between 2 and 4 and 7 and 9 p.m. Saturday.
Mrs. Allen was born Feb. 19, 1901, at Windsor, the daughter of James and Clara Wilson. She was married to O.A. Allen at Clinton on Sept. 15, 1923. She was a member of the West Side Church of Christ and at one time was a school teacher in public schools in Champaign county. She retired in 1943 due to ill health.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Rose Warner, rural route 1, Mahomet; a son, Wendell W. Allen, 407 East Stoughton Street, and four grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Maurine Crockett of Sullivan and Mrs. Lucille Ray of Decatur. She also leaves a brother, Byron. Two brothers preceded her in death.
