Marlene A. Alexander, 69, of Eau Claire, Wis., went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 17, 2004. Marlene was born October 15, 1934, in Decorah, Iowa, the daughter of William and Vivilore (Kneeskern) Lewis.
She married Larry Alexander March 15, 1952, in Eau Claire, Wis.; and they were married for 52 years. Marlene was a long-time active member of Grace Baptist Church and retired from Luther Hospital housekeeping department. She was well-liked by all of her co-workers and church family.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Larry Alexander of Eau Claire; her brothers and sister, Kenneth (Connie) Lewis of Eau Claire, George (Barbara) Lewis of Eau Claire and Kathryn (Dennis) Loew of Chippewa Falls. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, foster children and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Richard D. Lewis.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, 2004, at Grace Baptist Church of Hallie, 11591 17th Avenue, Chippewa Falls, Wis., with Pastor Brian Jahnand Gary Joslin officiating. For directions to the church, please call the church office at (715) 835-8615.
