Charles Edward Adams (1933-2010)

Charles Edward Adams, 76, of Sherman passed away on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital - WNJ. Dannel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Trent Cemetery in Trent, with Rev. Ronnie Freeman of First Baptist Church of Trent officiating. Visitation was held from 6 –8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at Dannel Funeral Home.
Mr. Adams was born Nov. 30, 1933 in Knott to Daniel Preston and Ione (Nichols) Adams. Charles attended Knott primary schools and graduated from Brown High School. His profession was farming and ranching. He proudly served our country from 1956 -1962 in the U.S. Navy; and he began his military service in Albuquerque, N.M. On Nov. 3, 1961, he married Myra White in Big Spring.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Preston D. Adams and Billy D. Adams; and one sister, Edna Mae Cates. He is survived by his wife, Myra; sons, James Weaver and wife Julie of Sherman, and Charles Adams and wife Teresa of Trent; daughters, Jacquline Knight of Philadelphia, Miss., and Cynthia Kirk Ward and husband Bill of Sherman; one sister, Betty Jean Poitevent of Big Spring; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
