DENNIS E. GOLDEN PASSES AT DETROIT AFTER LONG ILLNESS

FORMER RESIDENT PROMINENT HERE MANY YEARS IN BUSINESS, SOCIAL CIRCLES

Dennis E Golden, formerly prominent in business and social circles here, until he moved to Detroit several years ago, died yesterday at 12:15 p.m. at his home, after an illness of six months. He would have been 64 years old on June 24th.

Mr. Golden was employed for many years at the Grand Rapids Brass company, later becoming associated with the Grand Rapids Malleable Iron works. He was affiliated with James A Doran in the real estate business for time, afterwards opening a real estate and insurance business alone.

Mr. Golden was a former president of the Hibernians, past grand knight of the Knights of Columbus, and an active member of Holy Name society.

Survivors are the widow; daughter, Mary; three brothers, Joseph M, William and Thomas F; two sisters, Mrs. Michael Ruane and Mrs. Peter Kane.

The body will arrive Monday noon at the residence of Tom Golden at 516 Lafayette St. SE. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at St. Andrews Cathedral at 10 AM. Monsignor Fr. D E Malone, Rev. James Malone, cousins of Mr. Golden, and Rev. Fr. Raymond Dark will preside at the solemn high mass, with Monsignor Fr. D E Malone, preaching the sermon.

DENNIS E. GOLDEN FUNERAL TUESDAY

Funeral services for Dennis E. Golden, 63, prominent former resident here who died in Detroit Saturday, will be held at St. Andrew's cathedral here at 10 o'clock Tuesday.

Mr. Golden, who moved to Detroit several years ago, was active in metal manufacturing and real estate business here, having been connected with the Grand Rapids Brass Co., Grand Rapids Malleable Iron Works and the James A. Doran reality firm.

He was a past grand knight of the Knights of Columbus, an active member of Holy Name society and former president of the Hibernians.

Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mary; three brothers, Joseph M., Thomas F. and William, and two sisters, Mrs. Michael Ruane and Mrs. Peter Kane.

The body will arrive Monday at the residenc of Thomas F. Golden, 516 Lafayette-av., S.E.
