Billie is the son of Henry Nolene & Georgia Elmina (Standley) Trussell. He married Freda Mae Mansfield on May 5, 1951 in Chillicothe, Livingston County, Missouri.

Obit: Billie Rex Trussell, age 81, of Bogard, Missouri, passed away Monday, March 9, 2009 at Liberty Hospital. Billie was born March 4, 1928 in Coloma, Missouri, the son of Nolen and Georgie (Standley) Trussell. He graduated from Carrollton High School in 1945. On May 5, 1951 he married Freda Mae Mansfield in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives at the home. Billie was a farmer. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Bogard. He had served on the Tina-Avalon School Board. He enjoyed coon-hunting, playing cards with the grandchildren, visiting with neighbors and attending ballgames to watch his grandchildren play. Billie is also survived by three children, David Trussell, Tina, Missouri, Rhonda Jenkins and husband Jerry, Tina, Missouri, Stan Trussell and wife Rene, Bogard, Missouri, one brother, Flavel Trussell, Carrollton, Missouri, two sisters, Frances Beistle, Blue Springs, Missouri, June Flannery, Comanche, Texas, eight grandchildren, Andrea Shipers and husband Scott, Cameron, Missouri, Reid Jenkins and wife Beth, Lawson, Missouri, Cole, Dane and Darcy Jenkins, Tina, Missouri, Cody Trussell, Tina, Missouri, Megan Trussell, Chillicothe, Missouri, Shelby Trussell, Bogard, Missouri, three great grandsons, Brody Shipers, Kameren and Kyler Jenkins, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. His parents and one brother, Robert Trussell, preceded him in death. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Bruce Trussell officiating. Burial was in Coloma Cemetery, Coloma, Missouri. Pallbearers were Cody Trussell, Reid Jenkins, Cole Jenkins, Dane Jenkins, Scott Shipers and Tim Beistle. Visitation was held prior to the service on Thursday. The family suggests contributions be made to the Coloma Cemetery in memory of Billie. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main, Carrollton MO 64633.
