born at Northfield mining community raised in the Ladysmith area (Ivey's Green) attended school in Ladysmith. Nurses Training at the Chemanius Hosp - married so was not allowed to continue her Nurses Training.

She worked as a Nurses Aid at the Melrose Hospital in New Westminster for many years (it was torn down many years ago), and for many years she was an Assistant in the Nurses Training at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster where she retired from.

She lived at 1817 River Drive, New Westminster, BC - just above Scott Paper Mill. Her father, Richard, came to live with her from Ladysmith and he lived with her until he passed away). The mill for many years tried to get the residents in that area to sell their property so they could expand. Sara finally sold her property to the Mill, and then rented it back from the Mill until she moved to Port Coquitlam, BC to live with her daughter, Helen. (The Mill did not expand in that area - the Sky Train runs through that area that once was River Drive)

Lived the majority of her adult life in New Westminster (had 5 children. Divorced from Fred Yearley
