married Eliza (Dicks) who was his first cousin. His mother Frances (Shailer) Yearley, was the sister of Eliza's mother Martha (Shailer)Dicks

Emigrated to Canada between 1856-1859. George's brother, Thomas came to Canada first, and settled in the Crediton, Ont area. 1856 Census he is listed as a "Grocer" living at 6 Johnson Street, Stephney, London. In 1859 he is showing living in Toronto & his occupation as a storekeeper. He did not stay in Toronto - he was a station master at Inisfil - just outside Toronto, and other places. The homesteading land was not farming land - it was too rocky. George & Eliza were the first postmaster's in the area - which was named after them "Yearley"

They had a residence in Bracebridge, Ontario and would travel by horse and buggy to "Yearley" which is just outside of Huntsville, Ontario. The post office building (shack) is still standing...hidden amongst overgrown trees, and is sinking in the ground at "Yearley".

Frederick "Fred" Yearley according to Eliza's will was "incorporated" he was the son of Isabella but was raised as a child of George Samuel Yearley & Eliza Dicks
