Mr. Morimanno was born on July 29, 1945, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to the late Rocco and Mary (Morelli) Morimanno . He has resided in South Bend since 1978. On September 11, 1964, in Fort Wayne, he married the former Shelia Ann Stephens, who survives.
Along with his wife, Shelia, of 39 years, survivors include four daughters, Tina Hart of Cincinnati, Ohio, Trina Morimanno of Osceola, Ind., Lena Morimanno of Indianapolis, Ind., and Gena Ortiz of South Bend; three sons, Frank L. Morimanno , Jr. of Lexington, Tenn., Joel A. Morimanno of South Bend and John L. Morimanno of Osceola; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandson; five sisters, Rose Wappes of Milwaukee, Wis., Susie Holland of Fort Wayne, Ind., Martha Huffman of Bridgeport, W. Va., Sarah Stephens of Vero Beach, Fla., and Mary Foster of Bronson, Mo.; and two brothers, Mike Morimanno of Fort Wayne and Joseph E. Morimanno of Fort Wayne. One brother, John Morimanno ; two infant brothers; and one infant sister, all preceded in death.
Mr. Morimanno was currently the pastor of Apostolic Assembly of the Lord Jesus Christ, South Bend. He was a member of the nationwide Spanish organization, Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2004 in the United Pentecostal Church, 4609 S. Ironwood, South Bend. Rev. Kenneth Mendenhall, pastor, will officiate. Graveside services will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 6 p.m. on today and 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, and one hour prior to services in the church on Monday.
