Sparkle Violet Beaver, 93, of Stella, Missouri departed this life peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2011 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Violet entered this life on May 8, 1917 in Anderson, Missouri born to the late Carus and Ida (McCracken) McDonald. She was a lifelong resident of McDonald County, Missouri. In September of 1935 she was united in marriage to Gilbert Beaver and to this union one daughter was born. She retired from Cardwell Memorial Hospital in Stella, Missouri where she worked as a cook for several years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, working in her flowerbeds and gardening. She attended worship services at the Union Chapel Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilbert Beaver on November 27, 1956; a daughter, Donna Haddock; and three siblings, Carl McCracken, Dolta McDonald and Jewell Cooper. Violet is survived by two granddaughters, Cindy Haddock of Stella, Missouri and Mindy Ferdig and husband, Kyle, of Anderson, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Katelyn and Dylan Ferdig; a sister, Wanetta Clapper of Stella, Missouri; and a son in-law, Jerry Haddock of Anderson, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Beaver are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Union Cemetery near Stella, Missouri with Bro. Frank Arnall officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Jerry Haddock, Ralph Haddock, Delbert Haddock, Kyle Ferdig, Jonathan Hopkins and George Brazell.
