Joined the U.S. Army Reserve Corps in 1942 and was called to active duty for World War II. Assigned to the 91st Chemical Mortar Battalion and crossed Omaha Beach during the D-Day invasion in 1944. Was a professor of chemistry and mathmatics at Eastfield Junior College in Mesquite, Texas for 19 years. He was a member of the General Society of Mayflower Decendants, The Clan Hamilton Society, The Hamilton National Genealogical Society.
