Beaufort - E. H. Altman, 60, died Sunday at his home in Beaufort. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Peeples-Holland Funeral Home Chapel, Hampton. Burial will be in Varnville Cemetery. Mr. Altman was born in Georgia, Aug. 29, 1911, a son of the late John and Elizabeth Lee Bennett Altman. He was retired. Surviving are: three daughters, Mrs. J. C. Ginn of Hampton, Mrs. Bryan L. Bowman of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Dorothy Torley of Tennessee; one half-siser, Mrs. Blonnie Bennett of Varnville; and eight grandchildren. © The News and Courier, Charleston, SC, 7 Dec 1971
