She is survived by four children, Mary (husband, John) Kindred of Jacksonville, John T. Lockhart of Jacksonville, Catherine (husband, James E.) Johnson Jr. of Franklin and George (wife, Doris) Lockhart of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren, Andy Kindred of St. Louis, Michelle (husband, Wayne) Gardner of Jacksonville, Diane (husband, Scott) Hungerford of Jacksonville, Denise (husband, Tim) Waggener of Jacksonville, Donna (husband, Scott) Miller of Colorado Springs, Colo., Deborah (husband, Mike) Burnett of Jacksonville, Jimmie Johnson (friend, Alissa Foster) of Jacksonville, Deann (husband, Craig) Scheets of Greenfield and Jonathan Johnson of Franklin. Seventeen great-grandchildren and one niece, Rita Kershaw of Springfield, also survive her. One daughter, Roberta B. Acree; two grandchildren, John T. Lockhart Jr. and Dana Johnson; one brother, Frank Fitzpatrick; one sister, Grace Wankel; two nephews; and one niece, preceded her in death.
She was employed for over 20 years at Our Saviour's Hospital, Norris Hospital and Passavant Area Hospital. She was a member of the Church of Our Saviour, Catholic Daughters of America and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was affectionately known as "Grandma Bob" by her family. A highlight of her 100th Birthday celebration was having her picture on The Today Show with Willard Scott. She had a beautiful smile and will be dearly missed by her family.
Services were entrusted to Williamson Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Illinois.
