From the Pekin newspaper:

Manito, May 29 (1936) - Mrs. Carl Warner of Forest City died this morning at 6:30 o'clock, at the Methodist hospital in Peoria where she was taken in the Johnson ambulance yesterday afternoon. She took sick Wednesday with a sore throat which developed into scarlet fever.

Mrs. Warner seemed to be getting along nicely, her temperature had dropped and all indications pointed toward recovery. But embolism set in, causing her death. She was an expectant mother.

Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Lois, 4, and Sherry, 2; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harfst of Forest City; a brother, Lawrence of Topeka; a sister, Mrs. Lola Williams of Peoria.

Irma Harfst was born November 3, 1909 to Fred and Catherine Osing Harfst at Forest City and her marriage was to Carl Warner on November 5, 1930.

Funeral services will be privately conducted with the Johnson funeral home in Manito taking charge.
